Solstice farmer’s market

We had our second market on June 21, a day after the solstice. It was a great market and we sold out of almost all the wonderful produce that we brought. Here’s what we had:

  • Artichokes
  • Bok choi
  • Cauliflower
  • Kale
  • Salad mix
  • Garlic scapes
  • Patte D’Oie salad (pronounced pot dwah, a mix of beet greens and spinach)
The recent weather has really shifted things into full swing here on the farm. The cauliflower is done for the year, but so many veggies are just getting started.
The farm stand fridge is stocked every Tuesday and Thursday with fresh veggies. We stock the fridge with eggs every morning as well, however these have been selling out very quickly every day!
Thanks for your support and come visit us at the market or on the farm!

Our first market day of 2008

This Saturday, June 14, will be Plum Forest Farm’s first day in 2008 at the Vashon Farmers Market!

We’re all very excited and are looking forward to joining the other vendors. The weather forecast looks awesome! So come on out and join us.

Here’s what we will be harvesting and bringing to market. Some of this fresh produce will also find its way into our farmstand.

  • Salad mix
  • Lettuce heads (Forellenschluss Romaine)
  • Pac Choi
  • Spinach
  • Cauliflower

See you Saturday!
